OUR PHILOSOPHY
We Coach the Whole Athlete. Not Just the Forehand.
At MPL Pursuits, our program philosophy is grounded in developing athletes who excel both on the court and in life.
01
Holistic Player Development
We believe in coaching the whole athlete, technically, mentally, physically, and emotionally. True tennis performance comes not just from clean strokes, but from disciplined habits, strong footwork, intentional preparation, strategic thinking, and the ability to learn from every experience. Our training approach ensures that players build a complete foundation that supports long-term success.
02
Progress Over Perfection
We emphasize growth as a continuous journey. Every drill, practice session, and match is an opportunity to improve. We encourage athletes to embrace challenges, reflect honestly on their development, and transform setbacks into lessons that strengthen their game. This mindset creates confident, adaptable players who understand that improvement is earned step by step.
03
Education for Players and Parents
Tennis is a sport that requires thoughtful planning and informed decision-making. We provide families with clear guidance on training structure, tournament selection, mental preparation, recovery routines, and long-term pathways, including high-performance development and college tennis opportunities. Parents become empowered partners, equipped with the knowledge to support their athlete's goals.
04
Character Through Competition
We use tennis as a platform to cultivate character. Pressure reveals strengths and areas for growth, and we help athletes develop resilience, sportsmanship, confidence, and self-leadership. Winning matches is important, but building strong character is the true measure of success. Our goal is to develop players who compete with integrity, handle adversity with composure, and carry these qualities into every part of their lives.

We believe that when athletes and families are educated, supported, and aligned, real progress begins.
OUR TEAM
Coached by Athletes Who've Done What You're Trying to Do.
The MPL Pursuits coaching staff doesn't teach from textbooks. Every coach on our team has lived the recruiting process, competed at the highest collegiate levels, and navigated the pressures of elite athletics firsthand. They bring that experience, and genuine mentorship, to every athlete they work with.

ELIZABETH PROFIT
Tennis Coach & Mentor
Elizabeth Profit brings to MPL Pursuits a perspective that very few coaches can offer: the experience of being one of the most highly recruited junior players in the country, competing inside two of college tennis's most elite programs, and then building and leading a junior development program at scale. Before college, Elizabeth was ranked No. 3 nationally in her class and recognized as a Blue Chip prospect by TennisRecruiting.net. She competed at Baylor University and the University of Tennessee, two of the nation's most storied collegiate tennis programs, navigating the full reality of Division I athletics. Throughout her career, she competed while managing type 1 diabetes and balancing the immense pressures of elite athletics, experiences that shaped her resilience, perspective, and her deep empathy for the athletes she coaches today. After her playing career, Elizabeth transitioned into coaching and program leadership. She served as the Director of the SMU Junior Tennis Program for three years, developing high-performance juniors, expanding program offerings, and strengthening the program's reputation within the Dallas tennis community. Her coaching approach blends elite-level playing experience, technical development, and an emphasis on discipline, confidence, and long-term athletic growth. Known for her calm but deeply motivating presence, Elizabeth uses a holistic framework that blends technique, strategy, mental preparation, and confidence-building. Her goal is to help every player, whether recreational or competitive, reach their potential through thoughtful, focused, and empowering coaching.
